Mazen Nihipali-Moniz

Mazen Kaniela Nihipali-Moniz a.k.a. BK Engilo, 6, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 31, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 2012, in Hilo, he attended Kealakehe Elementary School and was a member of Water Break Basketball Team.

Peter Finnegan

Peter Finnegan, 70, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 5, 2018, at Kona Community Hospital. He was born on Sept. 27, 1948, in Meridian, Connecticut. He was never married and has no known survivors.

Stanley Tsuji

Stanley Hideo Tsuji, 78, of Hilo, died Jan. 3, 2019, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Hospice. Born in Pepeekeo, he was employed at the former Hilo Coast Processing Company, Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, Big Island Toyota and a member of the Wreckers Golf Club.

Friends may call 10–11 a.m. Feb. 2, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; funeral service at 11. Casual attire.

Survived by wife, Elsie Tsuji of Hilo; son, Reid (Jenifer) Tsuji of Mountain View; daughter, Jaci Tsuji of Hilo; brothers, Nelson (Betty) Tsuji of Hilo, Douglas (Chieko) Tsuji of Hilo, Earl (Betty) Tsuji of Hilo, William “Bill” Tsuji of Honolulu; sisters, Maizie Ash of Kansas, Pearl Tsuji of Honolulu; a brother-in-law; three grandchildren, numerous nieces &nephews.

Walter Andrews

Walter Gregory Andrews, 72 of Pahoa, died Jan. 15, 2019, at home. He was born on March 8, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, and was retired from the Jeld-Wen Lumber Mill.

Walter is survived by daughters, Kimberlie Andrews, Kelly Andrews, Zipporah Scicchitano, Rosemary Crawford; and nine grandchildren.

Allegra Perhaes

Allegra Mae Perhaes, 76, of Pahoa, died Dec. 30, 2018, at home. Born Nov. 26, 1942, in New York, New York, her life’s work was aiding battered women and children, including co-founding one of the first shelters in the state of Hawaii.

Survived by, soulpanion, Mary “Badger” Teague; son, Michael (Serena Low) Perhaes; daughter, Marisa Perhaes; siblings, Katherine (Patrick Clark) Martin, Tom Martin, Atea Martin and Mary Stuart Marin-Skiar; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Elmer Alcordo

Elmer Pamplona Alcordo, 63 of Holualoa, died Jan. 9, 2019 at the Kona community Hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1955 in Pahala.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Imin Center, 76-5877 Old Government Road, Holualoa. Viewing at 10 a.m. Aloha attire.

Survived by son, Bryson (Kanoelani) Alcordo of Kona; daughter, Jessica (Josiah) Kalima-Padillio of Kona; brother, Catalino (Liz) Alcordo of Oahu; sisters, Leeann (Peter) Kawaa, Tina Bernadas and Dawn (Manuel) Carrizosa Rosales of Maui; four grandchildren.
