Scoring one goal each were Malia Brost (45th minute), Alianna West (18th) and Riley Sohrakoff (68th).

“We were able to play everyone lots of minutes to hopefully conserve some energy for three more days,” said Hawaii Prep head coach Steve Perry.

Up next for Ka Makani (13-2) is a quarterfinal matchup with No. 3 seed PAC-5 today at 3 p.m.

Hawaii Prep is looking for its fifth straight state title.

Kamehameha-Hawaii (11-4), the No. 1 seed of the D-II tournament, has got the best of Hawaii Prep in the last two BIIF titles games. The Warriors will play their first game in the quarterfinals today at 3 p.m. against Sacred Hearts, who beat Leilehua 1-0 in overtime on Wednesday.

MAKUA LANI 1, WAIANAE 0, OT

Makua Lani (7-8-1) kept its season alive with a goal by Tia Lurbiecki five minutes into overtime against Waianae in the opening round of the D-II state tournament.
