An abandoned single story home burned in Ainaloa Monday.

The Hawaii Fire Department reported that about half the structure was consumed with smoke and flames when it responded to the 2:30 p.m. call on Tiki Road.

Most fire damage was contained to both bedrooms and moderate smoke damage impacted the whole dwelling. It was contained by 3 p.m.

Upon completion of overhaul, the scene turned over to HPD officers to await arrival of fire inspector.
