KAILUA-KONA — North Kona’s Four Seasons Resort Hualalai was recently named best hotel in the USA by U.S. News &World Report.
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai took the No. 1 spot, beating out The Peninsula Chicago at No. 2 and the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, Surfside, Florida at No. 3. The Four Seasons Resort, Lanai and Four Seasons Resort Hotel, Chicago closed out the top five hotels in the United States.
The U.S. News &World Report announced its 2019 Best Hotels on Feb. 5.
“Beautiful views everywhere, polished wood floors, custom furnishings and linens in warm earth and cool white tones, and Hawaiian fine artwork make this resort a peaceful retreat,” Fodor’s Travel said in a review of the luxury resort at Kaupulehu.
U.S. News &World Report said the high-ranking hotels are known for outstanding service, ample on-site amenities and elegant accommodations. The company evaluates more than 30,000 luxury hotels and resorts across the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean to select the best hotels.
Scores are determined using a methodology that combines each hotel’s industry awards with its star rating and guest reviews.
