Jesus Aderinto

Jesus Castillo Aderinto, also known as “Jay” or “Esos,” 72, died Feb. 13, 2019, at his residence in Hilo. Born Sept. 23, 1946, in Pangasinan, Philippines, he was a retired tractor operator at Ka’u Agribusiness and retired employee of the Life Care Center of Hilo.

He is survived by daughter, Eliesa (James) Pacheco of Hilo; son, Peter (Connie) Aderinto of Kona; brother, Felipe (Trini) Aderinto; half-brothers and sisters, Angie Camba, Eddie and Brenda Tacardon; hanai children, Mikey and Mary Camba; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David Goodfellow

David Goodfellow, 39, of Pahoa, died Feb. 20, 2019, in Hilo. Born in Ohio in January of 1980, he was an engineer, healer and a free spirit who did whatever needed to be done to help others.

He is survived by his mother, Christine Tighe Black of Ohio, sister, Bonnie Goodfellow Andres of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen Hunter

Stephen Roe Hunter, 72, of Long Beach, Calif., and Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 11, 2019, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in California on March 9, 1946, he was a teamster’s driver and stuntman in the motion pictures and television industry and a U.S. Army veteran.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at noon Feb. 28 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by his cousin, Gregory (Barbie) Barnett of Costa Mesa, Calif.
