Hawaiian employees split $31M
Hawaiian Airlines Thursday rewarded more than 7,100 employees with $31 million in profit sharing and bonus payments in recognition of their exceptional performance in 2018. The amount represented more than 11 percent of Hawaiian’s adjusted net income of $274.8 million last year.
“Our people are the heart of Hawaiian,” said Peter Ingram, president and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, in a press release. “This year was not without challenges, including devastating volcanic activity and flooding. Through it all, our employees welcomed a record 11.8 million guests with our signature Hawaiian hospitality and leading punctuality, volunteered to support our communities, and worked to solidify our company’s future.”
Social media workshop Wednesday
The West Hawaii Small Business Development Center will be offering a workshop, Social Media “StrADegy” from 9-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hale Iako in Suite 208, 73-970 Makako Bay Drive, Kailua-Kona, on the NELHA (OTEC) campus.

Llantos joins MacArthur Sotheby’s International Realty
Lovette Llantos has joined MacArthur Sotheby’s International Realty as broker-in-charge of the Kailua-Kona office.

2 big estates hit auction block
Two estates on the Big Island will be selling to the highest bidders via leading global firm Concierge Auctions.
One property, a furnished, 8,434-square-foot-eatate, is located within the affluent gated community of Kukio Club. The other property, comprised of 2,681 square feet, is located in the secluded setting of North Kohala, featuring a working Black Angus cattle ranch.
Previously listed for $5.35 million, 72-106 Poepoe Place will sell Without Reserve in cooperation with Danica Failing of MegaAgentHawaii, LLC. Bidding, which will be held via Concierge Auctions’ online marketplace, will open on Tuesday and close on Friday.
Previously listed for $5.8 million, 55-3287 Hoea Makai Road will Sell Without Reserve in cooperation with Charles Anderson of Hawaii Pacific Brokers. The property is part of Concierge Auctions’ March Sale, featuring a collection of global properties spanning six countries and five U.S. states.
Bidding will open on March 22 and close on March 28.
Strickler top producer
Homebridge Financial Services in Hawaii announced Thursday that Team Hi Five (Preston Sims and Rylan Maddox) and Ronnie Strickler are February’s top producers.
Sims and Maddox are mortgage loan originators with the Kahala office, known as Team Hi FIVE.
Ronnie Strickler (NMLS# 299018) is a mortgage loan originator for the Kailua-Kona office on Hawaii Island. She has 23 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining Homebridge, Ronnie owned her own mortgage brokerage called Strickly Mortgages, Inc. for nearly 13 years. She currently resides in Holualoa on the Island of Hawaii.
