Dana Olores

Dana Valeriano “Kumu Hula Kauai Iki” Olores, 56 of Kekaha, Kauai, died Jan. 15, 2019.

A celebration of life service will be held at Kekaha Neighborhood Center at 10:30 a.m. April 6. Aloha attire.

Survived by his parents, Evelyn Yadao and Valeriano Olores; sisters, Valerie Santiago, Janet Bradford, Evelyn Riley; brothers, Jonathan, Marvin, Jason and Gordon; many nieces and nephews, along with numerous hanai sons and daughters.

Joseph Ronia

Joseph Hervas Ronia, 71, of Hilo, died March 10, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired lineman and heavy equipment operator for the former Hawaii Electric Company on Oahu.

Friends may call 9–10 a.m. March 18 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; a celebration of his life will begin at 10 a.m. with scattering of his ashes to follow. Casual attire.

Survived by daughters, Leila (Preston) Antonio of Hilo, Kimberly (Derek) Saldana of Keaau, Jaydine Hiapo of Arizona, Jodie (Turtle) Kidder of Honolulu, Dawn Thompson of Colorado; sons, Robert (Sheldeen) Ronia of Keaau, Evan Wedemeyer of Honolulu; brothers, Donald (Arlene) Hervas Ronia of Washington, Nicholas Hervas Ronia of Honolulu; sisters, Gwendalyn Hervas Ronia of Tennessee, Maureen Hervas Ronia of Honolulu; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Robert Williams

Robert Leroy Williams, 88, of Naalehu, died Nov. 25, 2017, at the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he was a retired computer programmer/coder for various health care organizations, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Friends may call at noon March 19 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No.2 Columbarium for urn committal services.

Survived by his wife, Naomijean Williams of Naalehu; daughters, Jennifer Williams of Healdsburg, Calif., Valerie Williams of Lakewood, Colo.; two granddaughters, one nephew, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

John Aki, Sr.

John Aki, Sr., 78, of Hilo, died Feb. 10, 2019, in Hilo. Born in Hilo in October of 1940, he was a Merchant Marine for more than 35 years.
