Another thing about Harry

An addition to Daniel Knox’s letter, “Who is this Harry?”

Not only have several taxes and fees gone up with plans for more on the way, but Harry has also increased the county employee numbers. Now he wants to hire an additional 72 people.

Ouch, to all of our pocketbooks.

As a multi-time visitor to the Hawaiian Islands (just recently coming back from our second trip to the Big Island), it was dismaying to find that in order for ocean water tour companies to generate revenue, they are resorting to wild dolphin swims.

When was it OK to disturb the natural habitat of one of your most intelligent, gentle and treasured sea mammals to swim with humans? We witnessed this in action for two weeks in front of our cottage rental in Kailua-Kona and found that the dolphins stopped spinning, jumping and playing in the water once the boats were upon them. Let them enjoy #Laulea and visitors can enjoy #Maoli. #malama #aloha

What’s going on here?

What is happening to Hawaii County? Water department in chaos, bus system in chaos, now garbage department in chaos and a road plus a school locked down for crime?

But everybody gets big raises and increased budgets. Plus, no-tax Harry has raised taxes on gas, sales, property. I think it’s time for new leadership.
