America is fortunate to have one of the world’s self-declared smartest people as its president.

He is so smart …

He started an “easy-to-win” trade war with China that has lasted more than a year and has cut off our prime soybean market to the extent that the government has had to subsidize our soybean farmers to avert their financial devastation.

His sanctions on Iranian oil have driven the cost of gasoline for US drivers to the highest summer rates in recent history. By the way, if Iran can find buyers like China and India, it too will benefit from these higher prices.

His embrace of Saudi Arabia is so unconditional that it accepts without reluctance the state murder by bone saw of a Washington Post journalist who criticized the Saudi regime.

His rhetorical war and subsequent puzzling detente with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un has resulted in renewed ICBM testing.

His silly and inept efforts at obstructing justice raised so many ethical questions that they could no longer be ignored.

He has done nothing to prevent Russian involvement in the 2020 election. In fact, he still denies that Russia was involved in helping him win the Electoral College in 2016.

He has chosen at least 16 cabinet and sub-cabinet members who have had to be fired or have left office under a cloud of ethical abuse charges.

He has selected people for National Security Advisor, Campaign Manager, Assistant Campaign Manager, and personal attorney who have been convicted or have pleaded guilty to felonies.

He has had to settle fraud charges against him for the Trump University scam in the amount of $25 million.

He has paid at least $280,000 to women he claims have no valid charges against him.

He has encouraged witnesses before the Special Counsel to lie by implying that they would receive presidential pardons if they are caught.

He has attacked and sought to undermine the very executive departments he leads, such as the FBI, the intelligence agencies, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

He has taken actions and made remarks that have directly emboldened white supremacists, KKK members, and extreme nationalists.

He has damaged the relationship of mutual trust that previously existed with long-standing allies like the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, South Korea, as well as NATO and the UN.

What a record! What a guy! What a smarty!

We are so lucky!
