PAHOA — A Pahoa home was destroyed in a fire Wednesday evening.

Hawaii Fire Department personnel arrived at 6:21 p.m. in the Tiki Gardens Subdivision on Kamehameha Road in Pahoa and found a single story, approximately 1,200-square-foot, residential structure fully engulfed in flames.

The fire had spread from the structure to two vehicles. HFD personnel and HFD volunteers extinguished the blaze around an hour after arrival. No injuries were reported. The home and two vehicles were a total loss, valued at $180,000.

The cause is under investigation.

Another 1,200-square foot home burned in a fire Wednesday.

All occupants were out of the Lanihuli Road home in Volcano when responders arrived at 11:35 p.m. One vehicle also burned in the blaze, which was extinguished at 2:17 a.m. Thursday.

The valued loss is $180,000 and the cause is under investigation.
