KEALAKEKUA — Hawaiian music, chants and hula filled Ellison Onizuka Gym at Konawaena High School Friday morning for the annual May Day celebration.

Dancers from the high school, middle school and keiki from Punana Leo o Kona Preschool performed before the presentation of the May Day Court. The kane and wahine of the court, representing the individual islands, were joined by the king and queen dancing hula in front of proud family, students and friends.
