Big Island artist Sandell’s work displayed at New York gallery

KAILUA-KONA — Ginger Sandell, a Big Island artist, currently has her work displayed at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York.

“Treasured in prestigious public and private collections, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery is delighted to shine the spotlight on the natural star, the artist Sandell,” the gallery said in a press release.

The exhibition, “Stars on Earth,” is one part of the larger exhibition “Salute to the Stars.”

Along with Sandell, the exhibition “Stars on Earth” also displays work by photographer Atrayoux and artist John Peters.

Cultivating a strong reputation in the international art world, Sandell has exhibited across the United States in Miami, San Diego, and New York.

The exhibition opened May 10 and will run through June 12.
