The obituary printed Tuesday for Mr. Howard Kalani Alapai, Sr., 78, of Puuanahulu, inadvertently left off the name of a surviving family member. He is also survived by daughter Anne (Rodney) Hose of Holualoa.

Milton Subica

Milton Damien Subica, 67 of Pahoa, died April 28, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Aug. 2, 1951, in Hilo, he was a retired truck driver and security at Jas W Glover. He was a veteran with the Hawaii Army National Guard.

Milton is survived by spouse, Theresa Subica of Pahoa; sons, Milton (Chelcee) Subica, Jr. of Alaska, Timothy Subica of Pahoa, Clarence Pila (hanai son) of Keaau; daughter, Desiree (Jason Silva) Subica of Pahoa; brothers, Myron Subica of Hilo; siters, Madeline Sehna of Hilo, Maureen Subica of Keaau; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patrick Cootey Sr.

Patrick Frank Cootey Sr. of Waimea, died May 8, 2019, on Oahu. Born Feb. 22, 1941, in Waimea, he served the country in the Army and was a retired police officer in Honokaa.

Private services will be held.

He is survived by spouse, Yvonne; sons, Patrick Cootey Jr. of Waimea; Anthony (Nichole) Cootey of Waimea; daughters, Pattyann Cootey of Waimea; Toinette (Robert) Arnold of Westminster, Colo.; brothers, Joseph Cootey of Hilo; Timothy (Dolores) Cootey of Waimea; Edward Cootey of Waimea; sisters, Annabelle Curtis of Florida; Del Cootey of Oahu; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Robert Paddock

Robert Bradford Paddock, 96, of Kailua-Kona, died April 14, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Springfield, Mass., on Aug. 21, 1922, he was the Texaco consignee for the Big Island. He was a member of the Keauhou Yacht Club, The Club water aerobics and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Military honors will be held at 2 p.m. June 2 at the Keauhou boat harbor at Keauhou Bay followed by departure on the Fairwind for scattering of ashes. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome. For further information please call Lori at (808) 989-2001.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori Paddock of Kailua-Kona and Caryn Nelson of Oregon; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

George Mundon

George Kauhaku Mundon, 63, died at Kaiser Permanente Hospital April 30, 2019, in Honolulu. He is survived by mother, Leona Mundon-Kahoonei of Hilo; father, Richard Kahoonei of Hilo; sisters, Laurilyn (Frank) Puni of Anahola, Kauai; Kennydeane Kane of Kapaa, Kauai; nieces, nephews, uncles and aunties and friends.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. May 28 at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe, Kauai. Casual attire.

Wilda Delorm

Wilda Noelani Lewis Conn Delorm, 93, of Mountain View, died May 19, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Kahuku, she was a homemaker, former hula dancer, and racecar driver.

Maria Kihe

Maria Malia Kihe, 83, of Kailua-Kona, died May 8, 2019, at her residence. Born in Keauhou on Sept. 10, 1935, she was a retired housekeeper at Kona Community Hospital and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kealakekua Ward.

Visitation will be held at 8 a.m. June 1 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kealakekua Ward at 81-6493 Mamalahoa Highway in Kealakekua (above Konawaena Elementary School). Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Saints Cemetery in Keei. Luncheon will follow at Kipapa Park (mauka of Magic Sands on Alii Drive). Casual attire and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by her daughters, Ernestine Hanato, Nancy (Mervyn) Cagampang of Kailua-Kona, Laverne (Richard) Kihe-Gonzales of Ocean View, Kanani (Ryan) Matsunami of Kailua-Kona, Sharline (Patrick, Jr.) Akeo of Kahauloa; sons, Bully (Ululani) Kihe of Killeen, Texas, Daniel (Deborah) Kihe of Hilo, Herman (Kahea) Kihe of Ocean View, Wayne (Leesha) Kihe of Milolii, Lorin (Kuulei) Kihe of Ocean View; sister, Josephine Anakalea of Kailua-Kona; two sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; one brother-in-law; 53 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hazel Reece

Hazel Catherine Reece, of Kailua-Kona, died April 1, 2019, in Kailua-Kona. Born Feb. 25, 1956, in Washington, D.C. Hazel served our the country as a captain in the U.S. Air Force, and completed a BSN from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in Baltimore. In later years she was a nurse educator and received her Ph.D in memoriam by Presidential approval.

A memorial Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. June 7 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kailua-Kona. Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m., with inurnment to follow at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery at noon. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. at Kona by the Sea in the clubhouse.

She is survived by spouse, William T. Reece, Jr.; son, Matthew (Ellie) Reece of Detroit; daughters, Elizabeth (Luis) Mendez of San Antonio; Margaret (Bryan) Rathgeber of San Francisco; brother, John (Donna) Ramos III of Washington, D.C., sisters, Dr. Frances (Jan) Verbruggen of Portland, Ore.; Mary Anne (Dr. Robert Bowden) Ramos of Baltimore, Md.; and three grandsons.
