Carolyn Kawananakoa

Carolyn Willison Kawananakoa, 85, of Volcano, and formerly of Kaneohe, Oahu, died May 11, 2019, at home. Born in Portland, she was a homemaker and a member of Friends of Iolani Palace, Hale O Na Alii, Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club and other organizations.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 31 at the Oahu Cemetery, Oahu. Aloha attire.

She is survived by daughter, Young Elena Branch of Volcano; sons, Travis Anthony (Laurie) Branch, Quentin Kuhio Kawananakoa and Piikoi Andrew Kawananakoa of Oahu, Corey Douglas (Kimberley) Branch of Kona; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Susan Conner

Susan Conner, of Kailua-Kona, died May 6, 2019, in Kailua-Kona. Born Jan. 21, 1945, in Middlesboro, Ken.; she retired from teaching at Kealakehe Intermediate School.

Private services will be held.

She is survived by brother, David (Rosemary) Conner of Las Cruces, N.M. five nieces; one nephew; numerous grand- and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Thomas Hoffman

Thomas Charles Hoffman, 82, of Hilo, died May 18, 2019, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born May 11, 1937, in Alleghany, Penn., he was a former owner of Boat House Hawaii.

No services.

He is survived by wife, Barbara Hoffman of Hilo; sons, Mark (Lani) Hoffman of Baytown, Texas and Jeffrey Hoffman of Baytown, Texas; stepsons, Gene (Cindy Fuke) Rynkewicz of Hilo, Randy (Louise) Rynkewicz of Missouri and Tom (Brittani) Rynkewicz of Peru, Ill.; three grandchildren.
