Kenneth McStott

Kenneth Michael McStott, 70, of Keaau, died May 22, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 30, 1948, in Seattle, he was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Puna Certified Nursery as a heavy equipment mechanic.

Visitation will be held 4-5 p.m. June 8 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. Casual attire is requested. Cremation will follow.

He is survived by wife, Anita McStott of Keaau; daughters, Kristin Comstock of Everett, Wash., Nicol McStott of Stanwood, Wash., Kahealani Andrews of Hilo, Kamalani Andrews of Keaau and Kenisha McStott of Keaau; son, Joshua McStott of Marysville, Wash.; one sister-in-law; three grandsons and four granddaughters; numerous nephews and nieces.

Itsuko Yamano

Itsuko Yamano, 87, of Honaunau, died May 23, 2019, in Kailua-Kona. He was born in Kona.

Arnold Antonio

Arnold Boyd Antonio, 58, of Papaikou, died April 23, 2019, at Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was employed at Sakoda Construction and previously at Concept Construction.

Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. June 8 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 27-186 Kaapoko Homestead Road in Papaikou. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m.

He is survived by sons, Randy Antonio and Ryley Antonio of Papaikou; sisters, Rosanna (Thomas) Figueira of Papaikou, Faith Shin of Hilo, Colleen (Wally Kawakone) Antonio of Papaikou; hanai children, Taylor Tomori of Hilo, Keana Tomori of Hilo, Kirra Tomori of Happy Valley, Ore., Christian Shintani of Hilo, Mitchel Shintani of Hilo; one grandson, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Gomes

Mary M. Gomes, 89, of Kailua-Kona, died May 21, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 17, 1929, in Honokaa, she was a retired cafeteria worker at Kealakehe School.

Private services.

She is survived by son, Allen (Flora) Gomes of Kailua-Kona; sister, Christine Johansen of Laupahoehoe; one sister-in-law; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Takeshi Kudo

Takeshi Kudo, 96, of Captain Cook, died April 6, 2019, at his residence. Born May 25, 1922, in Kona, he was a coffee and macadamia nut farmer, former general manager for Kona Farmer’s Co-op, a member of Hind Kumi, Daifukuji Soto Mission and a WWII U.S. Army veteran.

Private services were held.

He is survived by sons, Russell Kudo of Washington and Michael (Debbie) Kudo of Captain Cook; brother, James (Kay) Kudo of Hilo; one grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steven Wroblewski

Steven Wilson Wroblewski, 64, of Pahala, died April 28, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 14, 1955, in Ka’u, he worked as a custodian for the state Department of Education at Ka’u High and Pahala Elementary schools, and was a member of the Ka’u Roping and Riding Association and the United Public Workers Union.

A celebration of life will be held 8 a.m. to noon June 8 at the family residence, 96-1293 Ilima St. in Pahala. Casual attire. No alcohol.

He is survived by wife, Phina Wroblewski of Pahala; daughters, Justie Wroblewski and Zia-Rae Wroblewski of Pahala; hanai daughters, Li’i Kaluna, Hulali (Shaine) Kuilipule and Deisha (Aaron) Davis of Pahala; sons, Steven (Daph) Wroblewski of Orchidland and Eddie (Kama) Wroblewski of Pahala; brothers, Eddie Wroblewski and Joel (Loretta) Wroblewski of Hilo; hanai brother, John (Sherri) Demello of Waikaloa; sister, Patricia (Rikey) Tobosa of Pepeekeo; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Edwina Kam

Edwina Kimiko Kam, 69, of Kailua-Kona, died May 25, 2019, at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born June 20, 1949, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and member of Hope Chapel Kailua-Kona.

A celebration of life will be held 10 a.m. June 15 at West Hawaii Community Health Recreation Center. Service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Family requests no flowers and casual attire be worn.

She is survived by husband, Crayton Kam; daughter, Anela (Gabriel Lama) Kam; sons, Kalani (Kathi Lynn) Kam all of Kailua-Kona; Kalei (Aina Kiili) Kam of Arizona, Harlan Tamaye; brother, Earl Maeda both of Honolulu; hanai children, Loke (Galen) Nii, Saku Kitahara all of Kailua-Kona, Chad Kawewehi of Hilo, Joey Stewart of Washington, Craig Nakao; four grandchildren; numerous friends, nieces and nephews.
