Dr. Tim playing this weekend
Dr. Tim and Mike Rosato will be playing from 6-8:30 p.m. at the First Friday Art After Dark in Holualoa. They’ll be in front of Ipu Arts Plus Gallery, at the north end of Holualoa.
The Kailua Village Stroll from 1-6 p.m. Sunday will also feature Dr. Tim’s Medicine Band Stage fronting Uncle Billy’s Hotel playing vintage music.

Fourth Friday vendors needed
Vendors are sought for the June Fourth Friday event June 28 at the Lanihau parking lot
The market features live music and entertainment, beer garden, and keiki activities from 6-10 p.m. Setup begins at 2, must be fully set-up by 5:30 p.m.
Single, double and shared booths available from $65 to $130. Vendors must provide your own tent, lighting, surge protected strips, tables, extension cords, and whatever else you will need for your own space.

Hanaiali’i releases latest album
Five-time Grammy nominee, multiple Na Koku Hanohano Award winner and highest selling Hawaiian female vocalist Amy Hanaiali’i released her newest, self-produced album, “Kalawa’anui.”
The album serves as the artist’s 15th studio album and was released May 31.
The album pays homage to Hanaiali’i’s ancestors and her deep connection to past Hawaiian generations. Well-known cultural practitioner Kumu Micah Kamohoali’i served as cultural advisor for the album.

West Side Story hits the stage
More than 30 members of the Kahilu Theatre Youth Troupe are preparing for the production of West Side Story, which will show at 7 p.m. June 21 and 22 and 4 p.m. June 23.
This classic Broadway musical has been revered in American culture for more than 60 years and features songs “I Feel Pretty,” “Maria,” “Tonight,” and “America.” These songs will come alive again with North Hawaii’s young artists.
Samimi and Dempster to exhibit next week
From 5-7 p.m. June 13, Kahilu Exhibits will host an opening reception and walkthrough for two solo exhibitions with artists Kamran Samimi and Duncan Dempster. Both exhibits, UNEARTHED and smallclusters, will run from June 13 to Aug. 18 at the Kahilu Theatre.
In UNEARTHED, Samimi will be exhibiting a combination of sculpture, photography and printmaking in the Simperman Gallery of Kahilu Theatre. Growing up in Laupahoehoe, Samimi creates works of art that are both a tribute and a response to the rich landscapes found throughout Hawaii.
Duncan Dempster is a Honolulu-based artist and teacher working primarily in print media. For smallclusters, Dempster says this work is “an attempt to balance literal perception with psychological responses to the landscape.”
His work will be on display in the Hamakua Gallery of Kahliu Theatre.
