Gary Bisnow
Gary I. Bisnow, 78, of Kailua-Kona, died June 3, 2019, at the Kona Community Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1940, in Minnesota, he was a retired financial controller for Evenflo Company and avid sports fan.
Private service. A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association or charity of your choice.
He is survived by his son, Chris (Natalie) Bisnow of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Maureen (Leonard) Aldes of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Bonnie (Phil) Jungwirth of St. Paul, Minn; several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Leone
Thomas “Tom” John Leone, 86, of Kailua-Kona, died April 26, 2019, at his residence. Born July 13, 1932, in New York City, he was a retired meat cutter and a US Army Korean War veteran.
Memorial service will be held noon July 12 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any veterans organization of choice. For information call (808) 895-6400.
He is survived by wife, Judy Leone; sons, Thomas Leone, III both of Kailua-Kona, Michael (Donna) Leone of Australia; daughter, Rachel (Michael) Otis of Washington; six grandchildren.

Harold Iwai
Harold Iwai, 90, of Rio Vista, Calif., died May 29, 2019. He was born in 1929 in Honolulu and also lived in Hilo where he participated in the local Bonsai club, Korean War Veterans club, and was a member of the Honpa Hongwangi Hilo Betsuin.

He is survived by sons, Derek Iwai of Torrance, Calif., Randall (Laurie) Iwai of San Diego, and Kevin (Regina) Iwai of Fairfield, Calif.; brother, Charles (Sherry) Toshi Iwai of Oregon; one granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Blanche Maeda
Blanche Ohara Maeda, 95, of Hilo, died May 9, 2019, in the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born March 18, 1924, in Ookala, she was retired from the State of Hawaii Department of Education as a fifth-grade teacher at Kapiolani Elementary School and was a member of the Church of the Holy Cross and Halai Kumiai.
Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. June 15 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 3 p.m. celebration of life service. Casual attire. No flowers.
She is preceded in death by husband, James S. Maeda.
She is survived by daughter, Lorri (Glenn) Taniguchi of Aiea; two grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
