A search for a missing swimmer resumed this morning at Green Sands Beach.

The Hawaii Fire Department said in a press release that a man in his 20 was reported missing around 6 p.m. Saturday at the popular Ka’u beach. Search teams went out on foot and by air but did not find signs of the swimmer before the effort was called off around 11 p.m.

The department said it picked the search back up today with the aid of the Coast Guard.
