Family startup earns accreditation

HAWI — Kohala Coast Peace of Mind has earned accreditation from the National Home Watch Association. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for home watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada.

Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues, which means that it is a service that keeps an eye on your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence.

Mother-and-daughter team Marcy Davis and Courtney Jessop worked together at a management company on the Big Island and now opened their own Home Watch business.

“Our goal is to use the highest quality pet products” Teresa Herrera, shop owner, stated in a press release. “That is why I use Iv San Bernard products which are certified pet safe. Ocean Paws is the only dog grooming salon in the Kona area to offer ozone treatments for pets. The ozone machine in combination with Iv San Bernard products can help pets affected by poor circulation, skin issues and hair loss.”

Herrera is also currently certified in pet CPR, first-aid and pet care. Her ultimate goal is to be certified as a pet esthetician by Iv San Bernard.
