Robyn Ching
Robyn Marie Ching, 61 of Waikoloa, died July 1, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 31, 1957, in Honolulu, she was a bartender at the Waikoloa Restaurant and Bar, a construction worker and worked in the field of health and services industries in a variety of positions.
A celebration of life will be held at 9 a.m. July 27 at Haycraft Beach in Maalaea, Maui. The family requests casual attire worn and loose flowers welcome.
She is survived by companion, Thomas Wheeler of Kona; sons, Patrick Ching of Lahaina, Maui and Christopher Ching of Kahului, Maui; daughters, April Fetalvero of Westminster, CA, and Jaymie (Brad) Balberdi of Kahului, Maui; brothers, Jens (Rebecca) Lerback of Woodburn, Ore., Joseph Lerback of Waikoloa, Jake (Carol Lorenzo) Lerback of Kona, and Jensley Lerback of Lahaina, Maui; stepmother, Florence Lerback of Kona; stepfather, Richard Hill of Oregon; stepsisters, Laurie Kurozawa of Honolulu and Michelle Hill of Illinois; stepbrother, Vince Hill of Georgia; sister-in-law, Addie Madrid of Waikoloa; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clinton Pawai
Clinton Leimamo Pawai, 53, of Waimea, died June 28, 2019, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born May 13, 1966, in Honolulu, he was a maintenance man at the Waikoloa golf Course; a vendor and worked at the Waimea Egg Farm.
Family and friends are invited to the community meal from 4:30-6 p.m. Aug. 8 at St. James Episcopal Church in Waimea. A graveside service will begin at 6 p.m. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
He is survived by son, Clinton Pawai-Pepee of Makaha, Oahu; father, Richard Pawai of Idaho; sisters, Paulynn Pawai of Hilo, Danniel Pawai of Waimea; one granddaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margaret Colon
Margaret “Sweetheart” Colon, 99, died July 12, 2019, in Oregon. Born May 10, 1927, in Honaunau she was a housekeeping supervisor at the Keauhou Beach Hotel.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 16 at Old Kona Airport Park beach pavilion #2.
She is survived by children, Julia Deponte of Hilo, Janet Colon of Honolulu, Thomas Colon of Kentucky, Laura Colon of Maui, Deborah Colon of Oregon, Margaret Acia of Hilo, Spencer Colon of Kailua-Kona; hanai daughter Joelynn Obadencio of Oregon; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, Thomas, and son, Jerry.
Santiago de Leon
Santiago Castillo de Leon, 86, of Keaau, died July 6, 2019, at Hawaii Care Choices in Hilo. Born Nov. 12, 1932 in Novacan, Ilocos Norte, Philippines; he was a proprietor papaya farmer, formerly worked at a Foliage Plants Nursery in Keaau, and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 6-7 p.m. July 31 at Dodo Mortuary chapel; wake service at 7 p.m. Friends may call 8-10 a.m. Aug. 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo; visitation from 8-10 a.m.; Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei are welcomed; burial at Homelani Memorial Park.
He is survived by wife, Consolacion Derrada de Leon of Keaau; son, Wilson (Mary) de Leon of Mountain View; daughters, Marilyn de Leon (Ira) Shigaki of Paauilo and Arcelie de Leon of Philippines; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Rodolfo (Sophia) de Leon of Philippines; numerous cousins and nieces.

Wilfred Ah Tou Jr.
Wilfred “Braddah” Wakinikona Ah Tou Jr., 55, of Kealia, died May 18, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 1, 1963, in Kealakekua, he was a landfill equipment operator for the County of Hawaii Department of Waste Management, and a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Honaunau Rodeo Arena in Honaunau.
He is survived by son, Frank Ah Tou of Kealia; daughter, Felicia (Shane Espinoza) Ah Tou of Kealia; mother, Dorothy Ah Tou of Kealia; brothers, Thomas Ah Tou and Mervyn Ah Tou of Kealia; three grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Manoa Medeiros-Kamau
Manoa Parker Medeiros-Kamau, 27, of Honokua died July 9, 2019, in Honokua. Born April 21, 1992, in Honolulu, he was a restaurant host at Denny’s.
