Road first, not Alii condo

I read with interest Tuesday morning’s front page article on a new Alii Drive condo project. As the way this plan is proposed I stand firmly against it! There is already to much traffic here on Alii Drive. I would think having to stare at condos and more noise would create more bad vibes for our precious little park.

I have an idea that might sway my outlook on this proposed development.

I would like to see these moneybag developers pull their application and resubmit it. This time they would present the application stating their plan to finish the Alii bypass road. This way the condo/ vacation rental residents would have their own safe and secure mauka entrance into their complex, all while eliminating more traffic on Alii Drive.

Time to show TMT support

Quite simply, but probably not, it seems to me that it is time that those on the island of Hawaii who support TMT should be out protesting against those blocking the access of construction and scientists. As far as I can tell there have been protests in favor elsewhere but not at the actual site.

I have no opposition to religion or learning from the past. However, looking and moving forward is a necessary part of living life.
