KAILUA-KONA — The County of Hawaii will unveil a refreshed, more user-friendly website this week.

On Wednesday, visitors to www.hawaiicounty.gov will be presented with a redesign of the old website to provide information and online services in an improved user-friendly and accessible way.

New features include a more robust public documents search function, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance with regulations for state and local governments, and a securely-hosted environment.

Consultant Granicus Inc., which already handles the county’s video technology and livestreaming, and the county worked together to build a site that was informed by analytics and feedback from residents to ensure that the site is reflective of the county’s needs. A survey was conducted in November 2018.
