Boy Scout honors Arthur Greenwell

Since September of 1954, a monument honoring Arthur Leonard Greenwell has sat near the top of Napoopoo Road next to mile marker 11. For his Scout Eagle project, Tai Matsumura elected to clean up this forgotten landmark that is a part of Kona history.

The base displays the names of the many tenants and friends that contributed to this memorial. Tai was able to complete his project with the help of sponsors, the support of the Scouting program and the boys and families of Troop 15. Congratulations, Tai, on a noteworthy Eagle Project.
