Albert Waltjen
Albert Kaenakapuokalani Waltjen, 93, of Hilo died Sept. 26, 2019, at his residence. Born in Olaa, he was a retired foreman for the State of Hawaii, Department of Land & Natural Resources, Forestry Division and also employed at Gaspro, life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 9 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. Oct. 21 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel; funeral service at 6. Burial to take place at 9 a.m. Oct. 22 at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He is survived by sons, Kalani (Ramona) Waltjen of Wyoming, Dane Waltjen of Honolulu, Kalei (Andrea) Waltjen of Wyoming; hanai son, Richard (Christine) Castro of Washington; daughter, Irene Kaipo (Jason) Hoffman of Washington; hanai daughter, Faith (Timothy) Octuck of Washington; brothers, Ernest (Madeline) Waltjen of Keaau, Kenneth (Dale) Waltjen of Hilo; sisters, Mabel DeSilva of Hilo, Daisy (Arthur) Wyatt of Washington; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Debra Bellotto
Debra Therese Ku’uleilani Bellotto of Keaau, died Oct. 5, 2019, at residence. Born April 23, 1955, in Lahaina, Maui, she was a homemaker and longtime caregiver to her mother and longtime resident of Hilo who sang and danced hula.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond Saragosa, father, Vincent Bellotto, mother, Pauline K. Edwards, grandmother, Sarah C. Kaumeheiwa and her one aunty.
She is survived by brother and siblings, Vincent K. Bellotto, Puanani Kaleleiki, Kamalani Kaleleiki, and Hinano Kaleleiki, Robin Rodero and Gerald Saragosa, and Paulette Saragosa; children, Brandon K. Bellotto, Cynthia K. Ohashi, Sefan K. Bellotto, and Carlos-Vincent K. Bellotto; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Forrest Fanning
Forrest Clay Fanning, 73, of Hilo died Aug. 15, 2019, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Nashville, Tenn., he was a seafood clerk with Malama Market and was the seafood manager at the former Sure Save Supermarket, a Veteran of the US Army and the Air National Guard.
Private services held.
He is survived by wife, Darling Wilson-Fanning of Hilo; sons, Wayne Fanning of Honolulu and Brian Fanning of Hilo; sister, Anita F. (Arnold) Ausenbaugh of Nashville, Tenn.; stepsons, Flynn (Emily) Wilson of Mountain View and Israel Wilson of Hilo; cousins, nieces, nephews and two step-grandchildren.

Melvin Morgado
Melvin Michael Morgado, 66, of Pepeekeo, died, Oct. 3, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 16, 1953, in Honokaa, he was a taxi driver in Hawaii. No services. Condolences cards are welcomed at c/o son, Derek Morgado at P.O. Box 1622, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.

Michael Shinsky
Michael Shinsky, 69, of Honokaa, died Oct. 8, 2019. He was born on Oct. 13, 1949.
Burial service were held Friday at Alae Cemetery.
Michael is survived by wife, Julia Schumann-Shinsky of Big Island; daughters, Vera Shinsky of Mountain View, Calif., Sarah Shinsky of Santa Cruz, Calif., Deanna Shinsky of Los Altos, Calf., two grandchildren, and two nephews.
