Lydia Rayray

Lydia Molina Rayray, 58, of Waimea, died Oct. 18, 2019, at Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center. Born Feb. 14, 1961, in the Philippines, she was a housekeeper for the Fairmont Orchid Hotel.

Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Annunciation Catholic Church, 65-1235 Kawaihae Road. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Casual attire, flowers welcomed. Lydia will be laid to rest in the Philippines at a later date. Online condolences: www.BallardFamilyMortuaries.com

She is survived by husband, Alfonso Rayray, of Philippines; sons, Daryl (Aileen) Rayray, of Philippines, Lester (Aldrine) Rayray of Philippines, and Billy Joseph (Marie Jane) Rayray of Waimea; brothers, Reynaldo (Thelma) Molina of Kamuela, Gus (Mel) Molina of Philippines, and Monico (Lorna) Molina of Waimea; sisters, Liza Molina of Waimea, and Rose (Jun) Busque of Waimea; one granddaughter, numerous nieces and nephews.

Gerald Keka

Mr. Gerald K. Keka, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died Oct. 21, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1957, in Kealakekua, he was a landscaper for Scotty Roberts, a security officer for Metro Security, journeyman mason for Ono Construction, worked in housekeeping at the former Kona Hilton Hotel and a member of AA.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Imogene Cipriano-Keka of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Casey (Bertram) Klask of North Carolina; hanai daughter, Paloma Valenzuela of Phoenix; mother, Harriet Shimaoka of Kealakekua; brother, John (Kapua) Ancheta of Las Vegas; hanai brothers, Justin J. (Dawn N.) Keka of Washington, Alton (Lani) Hooper of Waimea, Samuel Hooper of Honalo, Dave Riehle of Kailua-Kona; stepbrothers, Sonny (Sharon) Shimaoka of Waimea and Frank K. Shimaoka of Kailua-Kona; stepsister, Mary (Tommy) Kosora of Keaukaha; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; three grandchildren; two goddaughters; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alfred Galiza, Sr.

Alfred Galiza, Sr., 95, of Pahala, died Oct. 21, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 11, 1924, in Pahala, he was a retired heavy equipment field serviceman for the Ka’u Agribusiness, a retired veteran in the U.S. Army National Guard and a member the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Friends may call 8-10 a.m. Nov. 16 at the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. celebration of Mass. Casual attire, flowers and lei are welcomed; burial at Pahala Catholic Church Cemetery.

He is survived by wife, Adela Galiza of Pahala; sons, Donovan Galiza of Honolulu, Dane (Sabina) Galiza, Alfred Galiza, Jr. and Al Galiza of Pahala; daughters, Roxanne (Gerald) Gacayan of San Diego, Desiree (Cullen) Buyuan of Glenwood, Hawaii, Dagmar (Bob) Reeves of Georgia, Caresse Galiza of Florida and Deidre (Donnie) Burdette of Honokaa; sister, Connie Andres of Honolulu; 22 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Terrance Everitt

Terrance “Jason” Lee Everitt of Holualoa, died Oct. 22, 2019, in Holualoa. Born on April 10, 1947, in Warren, Ohio, he served in the Navy and worked as a bartender.

He is survived by son, Trevor Everitt of London; brother, Tom Everitt of Las Vegas; sister, Tammy Agee of California and two grandchildren.

Lesle Wenzel

Lesle Jean Wenzel, 101, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 2, 2019, at her residence. Born Sept. 16, 1918, in San Francisco, she was a retired librarian, teacher and world traveler.

Private service held.

She is survived by son, Alan (Tisa Kalili-Wenzel) Wenzel; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Naoto Katoku

Naoto James Katoku, 87, of Captain Cook, died Oct. 23, 2019, at his residence with his family at his side. Born June 2, 1932, in Honaunau, he was a retired federal employee, a coffee and macadamia nut farmer, member of Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and a US Army veteran.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. Nov. 23 at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua. Service at 4 p.m. Refreshments to follow. Condolences to the family may be sent to P.O. Box 6, Captain Cook, Hawaii 96704.

He is survived by wife, Sachiko Katoku; daughter, Jeri Katoku; hanai daughter, Desiree Dochin all of Captain Cook; son, Tracy Katoku of Honolulu; brothers, Takao Katoku, Francis Katoku, Gary Katoku all of Captain Cook, Allen Katoku; sisters, Yuriko Hayase, Yukiko Tasaka all of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
