Ovarian cancer workshop Nov. 23

The Kona Community Hospital (KCH) Cancer Center presents its “Frankly Speaking about Cancer: Ovarian Cancer” workshop, 9-11 a.m. Nov. 23 at the KCH Administration Building’s first-floor conference room 2. Light breakfast refreshments will be provided.

KCH Cancer Center Oncology Nurse, Vicky Atkinson, Oncologist, Dr. Forrest Swan, Jr. and Judy Kahler, RPN will facilitate the workshop, which will include time for questions and answers.

Art fair for Anna Ranch Heritage Center

Get ready for the three-day art fair coming this weekend to the Anna Ranch Heritage Center, 65-1480 Kawaihae Road in Waimea, featuring an art show, art classes and workshops, and local art for sale. The show will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Special events include:

• Keiki Arts &Crafts, 2-4 p.m. every day

• “When the Cows Come Home,” 10 a.m. Saturday. Vote for YOUR favorite Cow!

• “Mimosa Mingle” breakfast treats served 10 a.m. to noon Sunday.

• Closing Party 4-6 p.m. Monday with refreshments and an art raffle.

Events above are free to attend and no reservation is needed. Additional workshops and classes will also be offered (some with a fee) and will require a reservation.
