Brian Kitagawa

Brian Isoo Kitagawa, 63, of Waimea, died Nov. 22, 2019, in the Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 11, 1956, in Hilo, he was the president and CEO of I. Kitagawa and Company, Limited, parent company of Kamaaina Motors, Kamaaina Nissan, Kona Auto Center and Parts Center Hawaii and a member of the Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association, National Automobile Dealers Association and Treasurer of Chrysler Minority Dealers Association, Inc.

Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Dec. 11 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo. Celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. Casual attire is requested.

Survived by wife, Nan Kitagawa of Waimea; son, Ian Kitagawa of Hilo; daughter, Jillian (Joe) Kuczora of Ridgecrest, Calif.; brother, Bruce Kitagawa of California; two grandchildren; numerous aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Yvonne Cablay

Yvonne Roseline Keolamauloa Cablay, 64, of Honolulu, died Oct. 30, 2019.

A service will be held one year from her death in Kona. Donations in her name may be sent to St. Frances Hospice 24 Puiwa Road, Honolulu, HI 96817.

Survived by siblings, Freed and Esther Cablay of San Diego, Sweetie Moffatt (Tom) of Honolulu, James and Kathryn Cablay of Washington and Satumino Cablay Jr. and Sally of Kona; three nephews; four nieces; numerous grand-nephews and nieces.

Mary Shattuck

Mary Anne Shattuck, 86, of Waimea, died Oct. 24, 2019, at her residence. Born April 17, 1933, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she skated in the Ice Capades, was a hospice volunteer, started the Waimea Food Bank, and was with the Catholic Outreach Services.

Visitation begins at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 14 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea, Mass at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to North Hawaii Hospice at 65-1328 Kawaihae Road, Kamuela, HI 96743.

Survived by sons, Michael (Suzanne) Shattuck of Waimea and Kelly (Linda) Shattuck of Phoenix; daughter, Kasey Shattuck of Waimea; sister, Pat Nolan of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Richard Fujii

Richard Itsuo Fujii, 87, of Laupahoehoe, died Nov. 16, 2019, at home. Born in Kapulena, he was a retired auto mechanic with the former Laupahoehoe Transportation Company, a member and past kyodan president of the Papaaloa Hongwanji Mission and a member of the Honomu Kupuna Softball League.

Visitation 8-10:30 a.m. Dec. 5 at the Dodo Mortuary chapel. A Kyodan-so memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Casual attire.

Survived by son, Wesley (Claudine) Fujii of Hilo; daughters, Sandra (Marvin) Kajikawa of Waipahu, Brenda (Robin) McDonald of Papaaloa and Deena Dolan of Waipio; sister, Thelma Yamaguchi of Mililani; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces &nephews.

Judy Meyers

Judy K. Meyers, 76, of Hilo, Hawaii, died October 28, 2019 at her residence. Born in Honolulu on October 22, 1943, she was a food server at the Naniloa Hotel and the Canoe House at Mauna Lani Resort, and a member of ILWU. She is survived by her brother, Sid (Corky) Kono of Holualoa; sister, Suzy (John) Smith of Reno, NV; a niece and nephew. Private services were held. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary Kona.
