UPDATE: Big Island police have located 78-year-old Steven G. Abreu who was reported missing. He was located Tuesday afternoon in good health, according to police.

KAILUA-KONA — Big Island police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing 78-year-old Kailua-Kona man.

Steven G. Abreu is known to frequent the Alii Drive and Honokohau Harbor areas in Kailua-Kona and may be in need of medical assistance, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

He is described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 135 pounds with a thin build. He has gray hair and brown eyes, according to police. Abreu has a silver-colored 2017 Nissan four-door sedan, bearing license plate No. ZHC 896.
