Frances Souza

Frances K. Souza, 83, of Volcano, died Dec. 12, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired postal clerk at the Pahoa Post Office.

A graveside service will take place at noon Dec. 26 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No.2.

Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Faustina Acirbo

Faustina “Tina” (Salboro) Acirbo, 89, of Papaikou, died Dec. 5, 2019, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Feb. 15, 1930, in Laupahoehoe, she was a housewife and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laupahoehoe.

Visitation will be held 8-10 a.m. Dec. 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo; memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire.

Survived by sons, Thomas Acirbo of Papaikou and Francis Acirbo of Papaikou; daughters, Veronica Acirbo of Papaikou and Stella (Marvin) Cabatic of Hilo; a sister-in-law; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Louis Pacheco Jr.

Louis “Lou Boy” Pacheco, Jr., 77, of Hilo, died Nov. 17, 2019, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Aug. 14, 1942 in Hilo, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and cane truck driver for Hilo Coast Processing Company and a U.S. Army veteran.

Visitation will be held 3-4 p.m. Dec. 28, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; celebration of life at 4 p.m. Casual attire and no flowers.

Survived by daughters, Jennifer (Kerry Okinishi) Pacheco of Pahoa and Michell Pacheco of Keaau; sons, Jason Pacheco of Hilo and Delbert Pacheco of Alaska; sisters, Geraldine Embernate of Hilo, Sylvia (Sammy) Taka of Hilo and Elaine Ugalde of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Douglas Seymour

Douglas Glen Seymour, of Hawi, died Dec. 6, 2019, in Hawi. Born Nov. 13, 1955, in Colorado, he worked as a chef.

Survived by spouse, Carol Seymour; sons, Ian Seymour of Hawi, Derek Seymour of Eugene, Oregon; sisters, Jill (Shelly) Tonge-Seymour of Seattle, Washington, Luanne (Steven) Ready of Whidbey Island, Washington; and two grandchildren.
