Words and Wine Jan. 7

Join local authors for the monthly Words and Wine Event hosted by Kona Stories Book Store. This free public event offers a chance for you to meet and greet some of Hawaii’s favorite authors and artists while you enjoy complimentary pupu and wine. January’s featured authors are: Kari Bovee, Barry Willis and Krista Joan Donaldson.

These authors will take you on an unique journey. First we travel to NYC in the 1920s in the award winning-mystery Grace in the Wings, then on to North Carolina in 1949 where we meet a bluegrass Banjo Pilot. Last we learn the surf code lessons from the Wave Rider’s Manifesto.

This event starts at 6 p.m. on Jan. 7 with an informal meet and greet merging into a more formal book presentation from each author and concluding around 8 p.m after a Q&A session. Dress is casual aloha wear.

Kona Stories is located in the Keauhou Shopping Center.
