Wade Reeves

Wade Reeves, 79, of Waikoloa, died Dec. 13, 2019, at home. Born Oct. 8, 1940, in Honolulu, he graduated from St. Louis High School in 1959 and retired from the Hawaii Army National Guard after 40-plus years.

Friends may call 2 p.m. Feb. 1 at St. Louis Alumni Clubhouse, 916 Coolidge St., Honolulu, for a 3:30 p.m. celebration of life and 5 p.m. meaai. Online condolences may be posted on www.ballardfamilymortuaries.com.

He is survived by children, Kelcey (William) Cambra of Kailua, Oahu, Jodi Mae (Roger) Kanakaole of Kapolei and Arthur (Nikki) Reeves of Waikoloa; former spouse, Rose Mae Reeves; one sister-in-law; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

He is predeceased by siblings, William, Charles and Charla Jane Reeves McGuire.

Mary Radosky

Mary E. Radosky, 69, of Captain Cook, died Jan. 4, 2020, at her residence. Born Sept. 8, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn, she was a bookkeeper at a insurance company. She was a former secretary and telephone operator.

No services are planned.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Radosky of Captain Cook.

Clesson Sako

Clesson Keichi Sako, 65, of Kurtistown, died Jan. 2, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Dec. 20, 1954, in Hilo, he was a student at Easter Seals Keaau.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by mother, Kiyoko Sako of Kurtistown; brother, Kevin (Chris) Sako of Kurtistown; nieces and nephews.

Lilia Mendoza

Lilia Malingdan Mendoza, 60, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 11, 2020, at her residence. Born Aug. 14, 1959, in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a housekeeper at Four Seasons Resort and a member of the Filipino Church.

Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. Jan. 19 at Lanakila Congregational Church in Kainaliu; 7 p.m. service. Graveside service will begin at 9 a.m. Jan. 20 at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. The family requests casual attire and flowers are welcome.

She is survived by her husband, Menry Mendoza of Kailua-Kona; son, Charles (Mylene) Mendoza of Kailua-Kona; brothers, Ereneo Del Amen of London, Tomas (Irene Saladino) Malingdan of California; sisters, Vita (Natividad) Del Amen of London, Angie Malingdan of Kona; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Henry Mundon

Henry Francis Shigeru Mundon, 66, of Volcano, died Jan. 3, 2019, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waipahu, he was employed at Wholesale Baking, Consolidated Theaters and Kamaaina Motors.

He is survived by sons, Jeffrey (Helen) Mundon of Seattle,Wesley (Shirleen Simons) Mundon of Hilo, Philip (Christine) Mundon of Kaneohe; sisters, Arlene (Robert) Larson of Aiea, Janice (James) Martin of Honolulu; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael Lee Lai

Michael Lee Lai, 60, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 24, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 11, 1959, in North Kohala, he was a driver for Akamai Tours, a commercial fisherman, a fish cutter for Flying Seafood, and a member of the Big Island Wood Turners.

Private services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by his companion, Jan Kaneshiro of Kailua-Kona; mother, Jean Lai of Hilo; sister, Diane (Maha) Kanealii of Kawaihae, Arleen (Robert) Eblacas of Las Vegas, NV; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Haruko Nakayama

Haruko Nakayama, 95, of Hilo, died Dec. 19, 2019, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born March 15, 1924, in Honohina, she was a retired seamstress for the former Hilo Hattie and member of New Hope Church Hilo and Waiakea Uka Kumiai.

Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by daughters, Carol (Chester) Fujimoto, Ethel Reinhardt, Patricia Ann Nakayama, all of Oahu; son, Arthur (Jasmine) Nakayama of Hilo; brother, Masahiro (Myra) Kino of Oahu; sister, Yoshie (Ken) Tokiyama of California; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

Chung Young

Chung Ok Helen Young, 98, of Hilo, died Jan. 1, 2020, at home. Born in Kohala, Chung was a retired secretary with the former Mauna Kea Agribusiness, member of the United Community Church and was a volunteer at the Hilo Medical Center for over 30 years.

Chugn is survived by sons, Ted (Linda) Young of Hilo and Daniel (Cathy) Young of Keaau; daughter, Carol Ann (Jason) Marumoto of Hilo; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

James Yoshio Hatami, 81, of Hilo died Jan. 9, 2020 at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a retired supervisor for Matson Navigation Company and was employed at Aloha Security.

Robert De Vera, 56, of Hilo, died Dec. 27, 2019, in Hilo. He was born Dec. 23, 1963, on Oahu.
