Anna Marie Carlos, 64, of Pahoa, died Dec. 21, 2019, at home. She was born in Honolulu and was a homemaker.

Survived by sons, Dennis J. Balgas, Jr. of Honolulu and Sonny K. Balgas of Mountain View; daughters, Leilani (Hopili) Mulleitner of Pearl City and Patricia Aukai of Texas; brother, Jules Carlos of Ocean View; sister, Bernadette Addison of Mililani; 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert Bona
Albert Bona, 72, of Hilo, died Jan. 11, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Dec. 31, 1947, in Hilo, he was a tour bus driver and a veteran in the US Navy.
Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Jan. 23 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for 10 a.m. celebration of his life. Casual attire; urn burial to follow at noon at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by son, Kaloku (Debra) Bona of Hilo; daughter, Hiilani Bona of Hilo; brother, Jerry Bona of Oahu; sister, Beverly Hiyane of Oahu; one grandson.

Yasunori Deguchi
Yasunori Deguchi, 95, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 28, 2019, at the Regency at Hualalai. Born Nov. 18, 1924, in Kealakekua, he was a retired assistant manager at the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union, member of the Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Kyodan, Kona Lions Club, Kona Japanese Civic Association, Keei Mura Kumiai, American Legion Post 20, National Guard Association, Hawaii National Guard Retired Reserve, Retired Officers Association, JCCH, JANM and JAHS. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served in WWII as a member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. He was a recipient of two Purple Hearts and the Congressional Medal of Honor.
Visitation will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 26 at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua; memorial service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Inurnment ceremony will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu.
He is survived by his sons, Wesley Deguchi of Honolulu, and Alison (Angela) Deguchi of California; brother, Allen Deguchi of California; sisters, Mutsumi (Kenneth) Komo of Keopu, and Fujie Inouye of Honolulu; two grandchildren.
