Lily Asuncion
Lily Marina Asuncion, 73, of Hilo, died Jan. 7, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. Born July 18, 1946, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a retired caregiver.
Friends may call at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Mililani Memorial Park’s Makai Chapel in Waipio, Oahu, for a 6:30 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 10 a.m. Feb. 8 at Mililani Memorial Park for a graveside committal service and burial. The family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by husband, Rene Asuncion of Hilo; daughters, Shirl (Tracey) Veincent and Maelissa (Rodney) Kawaiaea of Hilo; son, Glenn (Misty) Asuncion of Kahului, Maui; brother, Florencio (Cresencia) Domingcil of Santa Maria, Calif.; sisters, Juana Antonio of Keaau, Maxima (Chris) Mendez of Nanakuli, Oahu, Avelina (AJ) Ortiz of Portland, Ore.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Randy Campos
Randy Domingo Campos, 40, of Kailua-Kona, died Dec. 31, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 25, 1979, in Hilo, he was a bellman at the Four Seasons Hotel and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Friends may call at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 for a funeral service at Old Airport Pavilion in Kailua-Kona. Services will continue at 7 a.m. Feb. 10 at the Old Airport Pavilion with an 8 a.m. funeral service followed by burial at Naalehu County Cemetery in Naalehu. Luncheon and fellowship will be at the Old Airport Pavilion. The family requests casual attire and no flowers.
He is survived by his son, Tyler (Keisha) Campos of Waimea; parents, Marybel and Warlito Campos; brother, Bronson (Rachel) Campos, and maternal grandmother, Trifonia Domingo, all of Kailua-Kona; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth “Loha” Leialoha Viernes, 78, of Waimea, died Jan. 14, 2020, at her residence. Born Nov. 3, 1941, in Honolulu, she was a former delivery driver for Duty Free Hawaii, a school bus driver and owner operator of the former Aloha Shave Ice in Nanakuli.

Lee Bransford
Lee “Leroy” Franklin Bransford, 71, of Ocean View, died Dec. 9, 2019, at his residence. Born Nov. 20, 1948. in Tacoma, Washington, he was sole owner and operator of Leroy’s Experimental Engines, a Harley Davidson Repair and Build Shop, member of Lineriders Motorcycle Club and a U.S. Marine Corps sergeant who served during the Vietnam War.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Feb. 22 for a memorial motorcycle run from Honokohau Boat Harbor, Lineriders Motorcycle Club corner.
He is survived by wife, Patti Bransford of Ocean View; stepdaughter, Autumn Connolly of Kailua Kona; sisters, Jerry Bransford of Honolulu, Carol Bransford of Arizona, Helen Sanchez of California; numerous nieces and nephews.

Hugh Arthur Fleming, 84, of Mountain View, died Dec. 26, 2019, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born May 5, 1935, in Raton, New Mexico, he was a retired gemologist, pilot and avid fisherman,owner of Lafayette and Spectrum Electronics and employee of JHE Communications and Hamakua Sugar Communications.

He is survived by wife, June Sachiko Fleming of Mountain View; sons, George (Shelley) Karvas and Mark (Lornalee) Karvas, both of Hilo, and Hugh (Isabell) Fleming of Washington; daughters, Lorilee Fleming of Raton, New Mexico, and Laura Nelson, of New Mexico; brother, Vince Warrick of New Mexico; six grandchildren.

William Benjamin Cabus, 78, of Pahoa, died Jan. 5, 2020, at his residence. Born in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaii Army National Guard sergeant who was formerly with the Hawaii Air National Guard.

Rayminhild Ouye
Rayminhild “Lei” Leinaala Ouye, 82, of Keohuolu, Kona, and formerly of Hilo, died Dec. 22, 2019, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center.
Born in Kohanaiki Nui, Kona, she worked at the former Naniloa Surf Hotel, was active in the ILWU and co-editor of its newsletter and a member of the Alu Like Kupuna Program and Hui Malama Ola Na Oiwi.

Dennis Pearson
Dennis Ralph Pearson, Sr., 78, of Ocean View, Hawaii, died Jan. 6, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Dallas. Oregon, on April 30, 1941, he was a former maintenance man at the King Kamehameha Hotel; a former police officer and a member of ILWU local 142, and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
