Kym Fukushima
Kym Katsutaro Fukushima, 59, of Holualoa, died Jan. 8, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 1, 1960, in Kealakekua, he was a counter agent for Aloha Airlines and a member of the Kahaluu Kumiai.
Private services were held. The family requests no koden or flowers.
He is survived by brother, Ronan (Caroline Damo) Fukushima of Holualoa; sister, Emee (Randy) Sugi of Sparks, NV; uncle, Robert Fukushima of Alaska; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eunice Kunz
Eunice “Nickie” Meliaka Kunz, 92, of Hilo, died Jan. 18, 2020, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born Nov. 4, 1927, in Wailuku, Maui, she was retired from Realty Investment Company in Hilo as an assistant credit manager, and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Hale O Na Alii O Hawaii.
Friends may call 5-6 p.m. Feb. 6 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Feb. 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 in Hilo at noon. Casual attire is requested.
She is survived by son, Charles (Susan) Kunz of Hilo; daughter, Marcie Saquing of Hilo; brothers, George Akiu, Arthur (Janet) Iokepa, and Melvin Iokepa all of Hilo and Wayne (Kanani) Iokepa of Kohala; sisters, Cecilia Knowlton of Hilo and Elizabeth (Lee) Abbott of Mau; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Chieko Naguwa
Chieko Naguwa, 93, of Hilo, died Jan. 9, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired nurses aide at the former Hilo Hospital.
Private services held. Family requests no flowers and no koden (monetary gifts).
She is survived by son, Alvin (Karen) Naguwa of Honolulu; daughters, Debbie Naguwa of San Francisco, Geri Masunaga of Wailuku; brother, Tadashi Iseri of Hilo; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth Silva
Elizabeth C. Silva, 88, of Mountain View, died Jan. 13, 2020, at home. Born Dec. 22, 1931, in Kurtistown, she was a janitorial worker and a member to The House Hilo.
Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Feb. 8 at The House Hilo, 2282 Kanoelehua Ave., for a 10 a.m. celebration of life. Casual attire.
She is survived by sons, Phillip (Valerie) Silva and James Silva, both of Mountain View; brother, Richard (Pauline) Carvalho of Honolulu, Oahu; sister, Margaret Tinari of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pat Yamasaki
Pat Toshie Yamasaki, 99, of Waimea, died Dec. 23, 2019, at home. She was born in Honokaa and was a retired baker at Waimea Elementary and Intermediate School and a member of the Waimea Hongwanji Mission and the Waimea Senior Citizens.

She is survived by son, Raymond (Gertrude) Yamasaki of Waimea; daughter, Karen (Isaac) Akashi of Kurtistown; sister, Ruth Tasaka of Honokaa; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.

Norma Myers
Norma Broemser Myers, 98, of Kailua-Kona, died Jan. 26, 2020, at Regency at Hualalai. Born March 11, 1921, in Fresno, CA, she was a former librarian and substitute physical education teacher.
Private service to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to any local charity of choice.
She is survived by children, Judith Myers of Washington, Ronald (Ann) Myers of Florida, Karen (Mike Sullivan) Myers of Montana, Nancy (Bruce) Hopkins of Kailua-Kona; two grandchildren.
