Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Tuesday afternoon structure fire in Mountain View.

Responding to the 2:29 p.m. report, firefighters arrived at 11-2956 Pikake St. to find a 600-square-foot single-story structure engulfed in flames, according a press release from the Hawaii Fire Department.

In addition, the structure’s metal roofing had already collapsed, and the fire had ignited an SUV parked nearby and was spreading into surrounding brush, according to the department.

No injuries were reported and the dwelling was not occupied at the time, according to the department.

The fire department noted in the press release that it had previously extinguished a fire that engulfed another structure on the property about two weeks prior.
