Contracts must be fulfilled

Did Mr. K’s Recycle and Redemption Center bid for this job? If so — a contract is a contract. Do your job until the end of your contract. Even if it means a loss.

As we many business owners know, we cannot run to the mayor and ask for money because we bid a job very tight.

But here is a simple solution for our county: Charge a disposal fee at the point of purchase for all those electronics listed in the article.

Stop seeking to tax us out of our homes and property.

Gregory just doesn’t get it

I’m surprised WHT published a column like Dennis Gregory’s on Thursday. Fortunately, we have a free speech in this country, but promoting and endorsing a crime is not a free speech. What the protesters were doing was against the law, and was a crime.

If you don’t agree with the law then change the law. So long as it is not changed, breaking it is a crime. Oh, never mind, the Hawaii Supreme Court ruling doesn’t apply to the protesters, right Mr. Gregory?

You forgot Rush Limbaugh

Don Zero left out one important person in his rant about Sen. Nancy Pelosi disrespecting and dishonoring many good citizens by tearing up President Donald J. Trump’s speech.

He failed to mention the honorable Rush Limbaugh getting the “Medal of Freedom.”

After all, Rush is a very deserving individual. Just look at what he is doing to try to quell the coronavirus panic by letting everyone know there is nothing to worry about and that it is “just a common cold.”

A rebuttal to Peter St. Onge

If what you say about the universal health care system in Canada is true, it never would have been implemented throughout the country. It started in one province and was so successful that the rest of the nation adopted it.

I have friends who moved back to Japan, which has a similar type of Medicare system, “not profit driven.” They ask me repeatedly why our health care is so expensive in the U.S. In addition, my friend says she has a sister that lives in Canada that has for years told her they have an excellent health care system much like Japan. Another friend choose to have her hip surgery in Belgium rather than the U.S. The answer is lower cost and better outcomes. Why is a young American Hispanic women in Texas who is a Democrat running to unseat an incumbent Democrat from her district? Because she had to go to Mexico to have her dental work done, unaffordable in Texas for her.

Why did as U.S. citizen of Thai ancestry go back to Thailand to have surgical procedures done? Unaffordable in U.S. and excellent outcomes in Thailand. St. Onge’s credits say that he is an author of the recent Heritage Foundation report. “How socialized medicine hurts Canadians and leaves them worse off financially. The Heritage Foundation is a far-right wing organization that is 100% for corporate America. That is the basis of fact-free op-ed. in line with the fact-free universe of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh.
