Gordon Harai

Gordon Takashi Harai, 66, of Kealakekua, died Feb. 10, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Oct. 21, 1953, in North Kona, he was a retail manager for Lowes, Safeway, HPM and Walmart and a member of Life Water Church in Kealakekua.

Friends may call at 9 a.m. March 28 at Life Water Church in Kealakekua for a 10 a.m. service. Aloha attire; flowers welcome. Donations may be made in his honor to Life Water Church.

He is survived by wife, Heather Harai of Kealakekua; stepson, John Rosenboom of Illinois; stepdaughters, Jessica Rosenboom, Jenny Rosenboom, Josie Rosenboom, all of Illinois; mother, Sachiko Harai of Kealakekua; sisters, Darlene Kirihara of Kealakekua, Marilyn (Steven) Geffs of CA; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Hildi Vieira

Hildi J. Vieira, 79, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 24, 2020 at her residence. Born July 3, 1940, in Oswego, New York, she was a public school teacher and a member of AAUW, Kona Orchid Society, Kona Hospital Auxiliary, Hospice of Kona volunteer, and member of Christ Church Episcopal.

Services will be held in July.

She is survived by daughter, Sherry (Charles Lee) Vieira of Waimea; son, Roland (Joni Noges) Vieira of Seattle; seven grandchildren; brothers, Andrew (Joy) Jensvold of Vermont, Erik (Shirley) Jensvold of Florida, Chris (Betsy) Jensvold of Vermont; sisters, Edwina Yamura of Kohala, Sherry (Zak) Owczarzak, and Carole (Michael) Morgan of Las Vegas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rose Watson

Rose Ann Watson, 85, of Hilo, died March 3, 2020 in Hilo. Born June 25, 1934, in Manhattan, New York, she was a homemaker and she also was a member of the U.S. Army (WAC) during the Korean Conflict.

Friends may call at noon March at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 for a service. Casual attire; flowers and leis are welcome.

She is survived by nephews, Wayne (Carolyn Polansky) Wirta of Portland, Oregon and Jack (Patricia) Wirta of Shomish, Washington.

Jodi Christine Clark, 65, of Kurtistown died Feb. 28, 2020, at home. Born in Seattle, she was a homemaker and member of the Hilo Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Annette Hinauluohia Haleakala Coats, 72, of Kailua-Kona, died Feb. 21, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 13, 1947, in Wailuku, Maui, she was a secretary for a construction company and Peace Corps volunteer.

Kiyomi Yamamoto, 98, of Honolulu, died Feb. 9, 2020 at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Kohala, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 442nd Battalion, Company G.

Aston-Josh H. Alfiler, 33, of Papaaloa, died Dec. 28, 2019 at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Nov. 25, 1986, in Hilo, he was a skilled warehouse laborer for Integrated Construction, Inc. – Paul’s Electric.

Dorothy Louise Aguinaldo, 81, of Honomu, died Feb. 19, 2020 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 11, 1938 in Hilo, she was a retired housekeeper for the Life Care Center of Hilo and a member of the Honomu Good Shepherd Mission.

Lang Zedkeia

Lang Rila Zedkeia, 62, of Kailua-Kona,, died Jan. 4, 2020, at Maui Memorial Hospital. Born in Majuro, Marshall Islands on Nov. 23, 1957, he was a senior lineman for MEC, an electric company.

Viewing and all-night vigil will start at noon March 13 at Calvary Hillside Church at 65-111 Church Row in Waimea. Funeral service will continue at church from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 14. The family requests casual attire.
