Ernest Ikawa

Ernest “Sharkey” Ikawa, 88, of Hilo, died Jan. 26, 2020 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired civil engineer for the State of Hawaii, Highways Division, Jas W. Glover, Ltd., and M&E Pacific, a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of the Hawaii Government Employees Association.

Private services held.

He is survived by son, John (Yvette) Ikawa of Hilo; daughters, April Hill of Hilo, Carrie Ikawa and Cheryl (Kaiser) Toomalu of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rosaline Berrios

Rosaline Amar Berrios, 83, of Mountain View, died Feb. 18, 2020 at Hawaii Care Choices. Born May 9, 1936, in Hilo, she was an aide at Mountain View Elementary School and member of the St. Theresa Parish in Mountain View.

Friends may call from 5-6 p.m. March 22 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Friends may also call from 8-10 a.m. March 23 at St. Theresa Parish in Mountain View for a 10 a.m. Mass. Casual attire; no flowers. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).

She is survived by son, Paul Berrios of Mountain View; daughters, Mary (John) Ancheta and Cindy Berrios of Mountain View; brothers, Thomas Amar of Keaau, Frank (Cathy) Amar of Louisiana, Eugene (Cynthia) Amar of Kohala and Macky (Bernie) Amar of Pepeekeo; sisters, Claudia (Juan) Roman of Los Angeles, Rofina Burns of Pahoa, Mary Ann (Rusty) Pacheco of Paauilo and Mary Jane (Isaac) Fiesta of Honomu; aunt, Dorothy Farias of Hilo; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Agaton Pasalo

Agaton Pasalo, 95, of Mountain View, died Dec. 22, 2019, at home. Born Aug. 10, 1924, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired crane operator for the former Puna Sugar Co., an anthurium grower and member of the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mountain View.

Friends may call 9-10 a.m. March 21 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 10 a.m. service. Casual attire; flowers and leis are welcome. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park at 1:30 p.m.

He is survived by wife, Felicidad Pasalo of Mountain View; sons, Peter (Evelyn) Pasalo of Keaau and Leroy (Wendy) Pasalo of Mountain View; daughters, Rosaline (Leland) Anderson of Mountain View and Estralita (Ronald) Weidenbach of Mokuleia, Oahu; brother, Jose (Monica) Pasalo of Ilocos Norte, Philippines; six grandchildren; three-great-grandchildren; one aunt; numerous, nieces and nephews.

Geraldo Guerrero

Geraldo Harold Guerrero, 91, of Hilo, died Feb. 15, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born Nov. 22, 1928, in Hilo, he was a laborer for the County of Hawaii, a U.S. Army World War II and Korean War veteran, and member of the Korean War Veterans Association Big Island Chapter No. 231 and Tsunami Gamecock Farm.

Friends may call 8-9:30 a.m. March 20 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 9:30 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 at noon. Casual attire.

He is survived by companion, Heather Wallace of Hilo; sons, Jr. (Lisa) Guerrero of Honokaa, Gerard Guerrero of Las Vegas, Nevada and Chris (Lynette) Guerrero of Hilo; daughters, Donna (Ralph) Villafuerte of Tracy, California and Connie (Mike) Laimana of Hilo; brother, Daniel (Gloria) Seguerre of Ookala; sister, Judy Kanoa of Honolulu, Oahu; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
