Hawaii County Mayor Harry Kim announced Friday all Hawaii County beach parks will close effective Saturday due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak.
The announcement came during an emergency session of the Hawaii County Council. The mayor said county beaches are getting overwhelmed because of overcrowding after the Department of Land and Natural Resources closed state beaches on Wednesday.
