Yvonne Dupree

Yvonne Gay Dupree, 83, of Hilo died Feb. 24, 2020, at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in California, she was a retired adult corrections officer at the Kulani Correctional Facility, ceramicist, ballerina, dancer, planter and cook.

Friends may call from sunrise to sunset March 28 at 18-2049 Pomaikai St. in Glenwood for services. Aloha attire.

She is survived by son, Peter Roan of Kurtistown; companion, Reagan Au of Glenwood; five grandchildren.

Edward Grohs

Edward Joseph Grohs, 71, of Pahala, died March 6, 2020 at Hawaii Care Choices. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he was a retired supervisor for the former Ka‘u Agribusiness, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and member of Pahala the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by son, Edward (Christina) Grohs of Pahala; brother, Markus Grohs of Hilo; sister, Michelle Dameron of Maui; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Roberta Nahooikaika

Roberta “Dodo” W. Nahooikaika, 90, of Pahoa and formerly of Maile, Oahu, died March 13, 2020, at her residence. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by daughters, Charlene (Craig) Savio of Seattle, Gaynel Nahooikaika of Honolulu, Candi (Michael) Borge of Waianae; sons, Charles (Olita) Nahooikaika of Sumter, South Carolina, Gilbert (Michelle) Nahooikaika of Las Vegas; caregiver, Clint Borge of Pahoa; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynda Goin

Lynda Faye Goin, 74, of Kailua-Kona, died March 4, 2020 at her residence. She was born in California and was an office clerk for Tuttle Financial Services, member of Calvary Community Church in Kona and assisted with Solid Rock Ministries.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by nephews, Shane Cunningham of Orange, California; Cody Coughenour of Port Angeles, Washington; and Chad Cunningham of Kailua-Kona.

Herman Medeiros Sr.

Herman Joseph Medeiros Sr., 88, of Hilo, died March 15, 2020. He was born on Oahu in 1931.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Medeiros of Hilo; sons, Herman (Gloria) Medeiros Jr. and Ernest Medeiros of Tennessee; daughters, Kathy Medeiros of Oahu, Patty (Sonny) Sylva of Oahu, Annette Aiana of Hilo, and Mokihana (Erika) Tadio of Kona; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Loreto Naboa

Loreto Notario Naboa, 77, of Hilo, died March 10, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Feb. 15, 1943, in the Philippines, she was a homemaker and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Friends may call 8-10 a.m. April 3 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Casual attire; flowers are welcome. Burial at Alae Cemetery (New Section L).

She is survived by daughter, Aida Naboa of Hilo; son, Arnel (Serina Riveira) Naboa of Hilo; seven grandchildren; sister, Rosario (Efren) Nivera of Philippines; brother, Demetrio (Lynn) Notario of Chicago, Illinois; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Albert Duldulao Sr.

Albert Mamuad Duldulao Sr. 80, of Hilo, died March 5, 2020 at Hawaii Care Choices. Born May 28, 1939, in San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Hamakua Sugar Co.

Friends may call 5-6 p.m. March 29 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 6 p.m. service. Casual attire; flower and lei welcome. Burial at 10 a.m. March 30 at Homelani Memorial Park (Lehua Section).

He is survived by wife, Carina Duldulao of Hilo; children, Albert Duldulao Jr. and Emma Duldulao of Hilo, Clifford (Ralph) Malani of Oahu, Joy (Kane) Palazzotto of Maui and Hollie (Aaron) Jones of California; two grandchildren; brother, Rudolfo (Catalina) Duldulao of Hawaiian Acres.
