Georgeanne Murray

Georgeanne “Georgie Girl” “Nana” Leinaala Murray, 71, of Hilo died March 3, 2020, at the Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was an activities assistant and bus driver with the Alu Like Elderly Program, a musician and a member and Deaconess of Ka Uhane Hemolele O Ka Malamalama Church in Keaukaha.

Celebration of life at a later date.

She is survived by husband, Paul Murray of Hilo; sons, David (Majila) Murray and Daniel (Sheri) Murray of Hilo; daughter, Phoenix (Cramer) Mahoe of Hilo; brother, Charles (Nanette) Mahi of Hilo; sisters, Charlotte Mahi and Beverly Samson of Hilo and Cindy (Simon Texeira) Rivera of Kapaa; 13 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Paul Keohuloa

Paul Keohuloa, 83, of Naalehu, died March 13, 2020, at Ka‘u Hospital. Born Nov. 28, 1936, in Hookena, he was a retired rancher in Naalehu.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by wife, Dolores Dela Cruz Keohuloa of Naalehu; sisters, Harriet Wenthworth of Seattle, and Maria Haimoto of Hilo; brothers, George Kamaka of Hilo and Philip Keohaloa of Kona; sisters, Jane Mock of Kansas, Mary Ann Dela Cruz and Pat Yamamoto of Hilo, Sally Dela Cruz of Naalehu.

Sheila Frasco

Sheila Antoinette Leimomi Frasco, 74, of Kealakekua, died Feb. 26, 2020 at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 11, 1945, in Honolulu, she was a coffee farmer and member of Kahikolu Congregational and Kona Gospel churches, a housekeeper at the former Kona Lagoon Hotel, a cook for Captain Beans, and a custodian at Kahakai School.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by sons, Alan Navas and Edwin Hao Jr. of Honaunau, and Shannon (Shannon) Hao of Hookena; daughter, Pearl Hori of Vancouver, Wash.; brother, Edward (Barbara) Navas of Honaunau; sisters, Annie Araki of Oahu, Gail Nitulama of Hilo, Wilma Puna of Oahu; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dennis Stubblefield

Dennis Brennen Stubblefield, 73, of Volcano, died March 6, 2020, at home. He was born on July 26, 1946 in Pendleton, Oregon. He was an elementary special education teacher, IT consultant, computer programmer, English teacher in Japan, served five years as a Staff Sergeant for the Air Force, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dennis is survived by spouse Betty Suetomi of Volcano; sons Brennen Stubblefield of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Tim Fields of Ojai, California; daughters Chelsea Stubblefield of Volcano, Hawaii, Laurianne (Reid) Kapapa of Lafayeete, Idiana, Nikki (Anthony Kirk) Smith of Mountain View, Hawaii, Heidi Lyn (Roy) Edler of Utah, Steffi (Vetti Seufale) Subblefield of Laie, Hawaii; 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; predeceased by daughter Karen (Tracy) Read.

Lorraine Steinbacher

Lorraine L. Paiva Steinbacher, 97, of Honokaa, died March 12, 2020, in Honokaa. Born March 1, 1923, in Waimea, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by brother, Albert Sonny Pavia of Honokaa; caregiver and niece, Jill (Roy) Mattos of Honokaa; numerous nieces and nieces.

Elsie Watanabe

Elsie K. Watanabe, 86, of Captain Cook, died Feb. 25, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 17, 1933, in Honolulu, she was an elementary school teacher and member of Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club, Saga Gonu Ikebana, Hiroshima Kenjin Kai and Fukuoka Kenjin Kai.

Private services held. No koden or monetary gifts.

She is survived by husband, Albert Watanabe of Captain Cook.
