Police locate missing Ka‘u man, 52

Update: Hawaii Island police on Monday located 67-year-old Dennis Peralta, who had been missing since April 1.

Peralta was found in good health by police at 8:25 a.m. after returning to his Ocean View residence in Ka‘u, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s help locating a 52-year old Kaʻu man who was reported missing.

Dennis Peralta was last seen on Friday morning wearing a shirt, gray sweat pants and slippers walking in the 92-9200 block on Koa Lane in the Hawaiian Ocean View Estates subdivision, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He may be using a walking stick.

Peralta is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds with a medium build, according to police. He has gray hair, brown eyes, a mustache and goatee.
