Update: Hawaii Island police announced late Wednesday evening that Jan Shon Liao was located in good health in Hilo shortly before 10 p.m.

Hawaii Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 65-year-old Pahoa woman who has been missing since Tuesday.

Jan Shon Liao was last seen leaving her Hawaiian Beaches residence shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday when she reportedly left for a walk, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Liao is described as 5 feet, 1 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, brown eyes, and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, shorts, and a red bandana around her neck. She was also carrying a backpack.
