Petronila Garibay

Petronila Mila Garibay, 88, of Hilo, died March 30, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 6, 1932, in Cabantuan City, Philippines, she was a retired factory worker for the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co. and amember of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.

Private services she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Agnes Yasso

Agnes Ekekela Yasso, 93 of Hilo, died April 12, 2020 at home. Born Nov. 30, 1926, in Hilo.

Private services to be held at a later date.

Survived by daughter, Mary (Allen) Branco of Hilo; son, Ronald (Ella) Yasso of Hilo; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Kazunobu Mayahara

Kazunobu “Kazu” Mayahara, 94, of Kapaau, died April 13, 2020 at Kohala Hospital. Born June 2, 1925, in Halawa, Kohala, he was retired from Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the former Kohala Sugar Co., a U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Kohala Jodo Mission and Kohala Senior Citizens.

Due to COVID-19 memorial services will be held at a later date at Kohala Jodo Mission.

He is survived by a sister-in-law; one grandniece, two grandnephews, three nieces, and numerous cousins.

Delores Anderson

Delores Anderson, 90, of Naalehu, died April 8, 2020, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1930, in Michigan.

Private services held by family.

Survived by son, Allen Anderson of Colorado; daughters, Irene Scholl and Cathy Anderson of Colorado; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sons Robbie Anderson, Randy Anderson; sister Geri Clark; brother Boots Goulet.
