Update: The Hawaii Police Department reported Friday morning that Mary Alexis Patterson was located about 1 p.m. Thursday at a residence in Glenwood. She was found in good health.

“Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted in providing police with information and leads during the time Patterson was missing. Information from the public often leads to the expeditious and successful conclusion of these types of cases,” the department said in a media release.

Hawaii Island police are searching for a missing Mountain View woman who was last heard from on April 7.

The woman, Mary Alexis Patterson, was speaking to her mother on the phone and was never heard from again, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Patterson is described as being 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, with brown eyes and brown medium length, wavy hair.

“Patterson is in need of care, and a mother, whose children are missing her,” said Detective Todd Pataray. She may be in the Hilo or Pahoa areas.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pataray at (808) 961-2382 or the department’s nonemergency line (808) 935-3311.
