AARP Hawaii hosts virus telephone town hall with Schatz

U.S. Sen. Brian Schatz will answer questions about financial assistance available to individuals and small businesses through the CARES Act via a Telephone Town Hall sponsored by AARP Hawaii on Wednesday.

The telephone conference will take place on from 11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Participants can register to join the meeting by going to vekeo.com/aarphawaii. The Telephone Town Hall will also be livestreamed to the AARP Hawaii Facebook page and can be watched/listened to there after the event is over.

Joining Schatz will be Jane Sawyer from the Small Business Association Hawaii, Commissioner Iris Ikeda from the Division of Financial Institutions and Lisa Kimura from Aloha United Way, who will talk about other resources available to people and business who are struggling financially.

Those who register will get a phone call on Wednesday at the start of the meeting asking you to join the conversation. Questions can also be submitted to staff.

The event is free and no AARP membership is required.
