Single COVID-19 case reported on Big Island, statewide total at 621 cases

As of noon today, the state Department of Health reported one new case of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 621 cases.

The new case was on the Big Island, bringing Hawaii County’s total cases to 75. Of those cases, 63 have been released from isolation.

The City and County of Honolulu had the highest number of reported cases, 400.

Maui County has 116 total cases, and Kauai County, which has implemented the strictest lockdown rules, has stood firm at 21 total cases for almost three weeks.

Nine cases have been Hawaii residents diagnosed while outside the state.

There have been 17 coronavirus-related deaths reported in Hawaii.

Statewide, 73 cases have required hospitalization, while 548 individuals have been released from isolation.
