Linda Savell

Linda Norton Savell, 79, of Captain Cook, died May 1, 2020, at her residence. Born Oct. 28, 1940 in Detroit, she was a potter of functional and decorative pottery, a clay sculptor, a former nurse and medical office manager.

Private service held. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be sent to Hospice of Kona, PO Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96745.

She is survived by husband, Charles Savell of Captain Cook; son, Douglas (Stephanie) Savell of Illinois; sister, Ann (David) White of Michigan; a granddaughter and a nephew.

Roland Kepano

Roland H. Kepano, 65, of Hilo died April 27, 2020. Born in Kailua-Kona, he was a retired construction worker.

Services to be announced at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Kepano; sons, Levy Kepano and Desmond Kepano, both of Hilo; daughter, Deedra (Kelsey) Kepano-Ferreira of Hilo; sisters, Bessie Mahi of Kailua-Kona and Shirley (Roy) Meyer of Wisconsin; brothers, Lui Kepano Jr. and Albert Kepano, both of Hilo; 10 granchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jason Kila

Jason Ilika Kila, 28, of Hilo died April 22, 2020. Born on Maui, he was a student of Keeau High School and a lover of animals.

In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Rainbow Animal Sanctuary, Keaau Veterinary, or the Big Brother/Big Sister Programs are requested.

He is survived by his mother, Gayle (Bruce) Kila; girlfriend, Kaylie; and friend, Phillip.

Julia Kozma

Julia Rose Dobay Kozma, 94, of Keaau died May 5, 2020, at a private care home. Born in West Virginia in 1926, she was retired from her own hair salon in Ohio and a member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Church.

Services will be announced at a later date. The family requests donations be made in lieu of flowers to Hawaii Care Choices, 1011 Waianuenue Ave., Hilo, HI 96720.

She is survived by son, Stephen (Diana) Kozma of Jacksboro, TN; daughter, Julia Lindbergh of Keaau; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Donald Wray

Donald “Don” Lea Wray, 90, of Kailua-Kona, died April 3, 2020, at his residence. Born Nov. 21, 1929 in San Francisco, he was a retired computer systems analyst, lifetime member of Fort Washington Country Club and a volunteer at the Kailua-Kona Public Library, Kona Community Hospital and KARES of Kona at Petco.

Private service to be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Kares Hawaii.

He is survived by daughters, Catherine (Mickey) Williams of Maui, Sandra (Harry) McDonald of Kailua-Kona; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.

James Maa

James Kaomi Maa, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died April 9, 2020, at his residence. Born May 31, 1932 in Honolulu, he was a retired auditor for the State of California Board of Equalization and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by wife, Jeanette Maa of Kailua-Kona; children, Stacie Maa, Jeffery Maa, Walden Maa all of California, Steven Maa of Colorado; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Rogelio Domingo

Rogelio Raynon Domingo, 60, of Pahala, died April 21, 2020 at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept.14, 1959, in Manila, Philippines; he worked as a macadamia nut harvester in Pahala and he also was a member of the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Services will be held at a later date.

He is survived by sisters, Leticia (Victor) Marasingan and Rose (Andy) Oleyte of Pahala, Gloria (Rodrigo) Tagalicud of Keaau, brothers, Romeo (Luz) Domingo of Philippines, Rafael Domingo of Chicago, Illinois and Renato Domingo of Wailuku, Maui; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
