Patricia Carr

Patricia “Patti” Carr, 69, of Kailua-Kona, died March 3, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Struthers, Ohio, on Oct. 3, 1950, she was a self-employed event planner and manager, working with many boating, fishing and environmental organizations, and was a guest services agent for WorldMark by Wyndham.

A celebration of life is being planned for Kona and South Florida.

She is survived by her husband, Vince Carr of Kailua-Kona; sister, Fran Starinchak of Granville, OH; brother, Chester Kocinski of Hyder, AK; several nieces and nephews.

Shirley Lou McCalla

Shirley Lou McCalla, 87, of Kailua-Kona, died May 5, 2020, at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Orange County, California on June 23, 1932, she was an artist; a fashion model, philanthropist and caretaker. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Laguna Beach, E Bell Club of Laguna Beach, and Tall Club of Orange County.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Frank) Ornellas of Kailua-Kona; sons, Vincent (Cheryl) McCalla and Victor (Nancy) MaCalla of Reno, NV; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

Autumn Edelmann

Autumn Ann Edelmann, 38, of Kailua-Kona, died May 9, 2020, in Kailua-Kona. She was born Nov. 15, 1981, in New Jersey. Autumn was a graduate of Konawaena High School and she was employed by Safeway.

She is survived by mother, Trudy (Terry Bensch) Edelmann of Kailua-Kona; father, Robert Edelmann (predeceased) and brother Kirk Edelmann of Kailua-Kona.

Private services were held.
