One new COVID-19 case reported by DOH

The state Department of Health reported one new case of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 652 cases.

With the new case, Maui has now recorded 119 positive cases since Feb. 28, according to the Department of Health.

Hawaii County reported no new cases leaving the island’s total at 81 cases, according to the department. All of the patients have since recovered and been released from isolation.

Kauai County’s tally remained at 20 while Oahu’s was unchanged at 421.

Ten of the total cases are Hawaii residents diagnosed outside the state but reported as Hawaii cases according to guidelines of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

There have been 17 coronavirus-related deaths reported in Hawaii, 11 on Oahu and six on Maui.

Of the statewide cases, 606 individuals have been released from isolation.
